Biography

Vedrana was born in Montenegro and started her musical education with Prof. Anka Asanovic. She graduated at the Moscow State Conservatory in the class of Prof. Lev Naumov and specialized at Accademy „Incontri col Maestro“ in Italy under the direction of Piero Rattalino and Louis Lortie. Further on she deepened her pianism with Prof. Horst Leichtfried in Vienna, who cultivates the fundaments of piano technique of Theodor Leschetitzky. Her long term cooperation and scientific analysis of the performance techniques of great pianists with the well-known geophysicist, academician and passionate pianist Evgeniy Artyushkov will be published in the video book „Piano beyond Conservatory“. With her emotional playing and beautiful sound, best characterized by the phrase “piano with vocal chords”, Vedrana gave outstanding performances in music centers in Europe, America and Asia.

Kovač played with orchestras such as the Russian Svetlanov State Academic orchestra, Moscow Philharmonics, Brazilian Symphony orchestra, Amazonas Philharmonics, Enescu Philharmonics, Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, Slovenian Philharmonics, Cyprus Symphony orchestra, Montenegrin strings and in famous halls such as Tokyo Suntory Hall, Osaka Symphony Hall, Theater in Manaus, as a part of the musical program of the World football Championship as well in Bucharest Athenaeum Roman, celebrating Croatian’s entree into the European Union, just to name a few. She is a docent on the Franz Schubert Konservatorium and leeds the Piano Cantabile Music Society in Vienna. Finally, it adds to her rich artistic scope that Vedrana is an opera singer. Possesing a drammatical soprano voice particulary suitabale for Wagner repertory she performed as a vocal soloist in opera and concert productions in Austria, Brasil, Croatia, Cyprus and forms a regular performing duet with the tenor Heinz Rank, which makes her an outstanding multi-talented artist.
