Born in Montenegro, Vedrana Kovac embarked on her musical journey under the guidance of Prof. Anka Asanovic. Her pursuit of excellence continued at the Gnessin College of Music with Prof. Mikhail Trushechkin. She further honed her skills at the Moscow State Conservatory, studying under the mentorship of Prof. Lev Naumov. Her pursuit of musical mastery led her to the Accademy “Incontri col Maestro” in Italy, where she was under the tutelage of Piero Rattalino. Prof. Emmanuil Monaszon in Moscow and Prof. Horst Leichtfried at the Wiener Musik Collegium in Vienna also played instrumental roles in shaping her pianism, drawing from the profound foundations of Theodor Leschetitzky’s technique. Vedrana’s collaboration with the renowned geophysicist, academician, and passionate pianist, Evgeniy Artyushkov, culminated in the creation of the video book “Piano beyond Conservatory” offering a scientific analysis of performance techniques of great pianists. With her emotionally charged performances and a sound best described as “piano with vocal chords”, Vedrana has graced esteemed music centers across Europe, America, and Asia. She has shared the stage with esteemed orchestras such as the Russian Svetlanov State Academic Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonics, Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, Amazonas Philharmonics, Enescu Philharmonics, Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, Slovenian Philharmonics, Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, and the Montenegrin Strings. Her artistry has resonated in prestigious venues like Tokyo Suntory Hall, Osaka Symphony Hall, the Theater in Manaus, Bucharest Athenaeum Roman, and many others. Notably, she contributed to the musical program of the World Football Championship and celebrated Croatia’s entry into the European Union. Beyond her pianistic accomplishments, Vedrana is also an accomplished opera singer. Her operatic journey began with graduation from the Vienna Conservatory with operatic tenor Mo. Agim Hushi, and she has since performed as a vocal soloist in operas and concerts across Austria, Brazil, Croatia, and Cyprus. Her multi- talented artistry extends to her vocal prowess, which she cultivated under the guidance of operatic baritone/tenor Mo. Hugh Beresford, Armaghan Shajarian Vienna International Opera Academy, Mo. Daniel Sarge and the Antonio Carangelo Belcanto Academy. She forms a performing Duett with the tenor/baritone/pianist Mo. Heinz Rank in Vienna.
